NINE MOONS

NINE MOONS started as a short story as part of my Creative Writing degree at Birkbeck. I was interested in building a story of female transformation through nine cycles of the moon with all the menstrual messiness, hairiness, and lycanthropic possibilities this evoked.

Through Mrs Cs Collective, an Arts Council England funded nine-month programme, I was supported to adapt this story from page to the stage through facilitated workshops, creative speed dating discussions and dramaturgy. Two rehearsed readings, at The Space took place as part of the Big Share in 2023, followed by further script development and performances at the Bridge House Theatre, Old Red Lion and Lion & Unicorn.

NINE MOONS is currently being adapted into a film script.
