PRESS REVIEWS FOR NINE MOONS
A swift seventy minutes with no interval is achieved via clear narrative, rich dialogue, and exemplary diction with crisp direction from Renee Yeong… Undertones of fantasy fiction, gothic, the fairy tale (with shades of Angela Carter) mix with feminist nods to Greer, Wolf and ‘the obscure’. (Diane Arbus) ...largely unchartered facets of the female experience performed by three outstanding actresses.

NINE MOONS offers a gothic twist on a modern coming-of-age story… With a strong ensemble, simple set and shocking plot twists, NINE MOONS is sure to leave a lasting impression. Rarely does a three-hander offer each character a unique arc, yet in NINE MOONS, writer, Nilgün Yusuf skilfully presents three complicated, well-rounded teenage girls. NINE MOONS is a shocking, thought-provoking, entertaining production…this rites-of-passage story offers a gory, feminist call-to-arms.
